Images of the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco, CA

Having lived in the natural landscape of upstate New York for most of my life, these architectural spaces arranged within the city environment create an unfamiliar world. Museums act as spaces of solitude, in which a desire to reach a sense of internal balance takes place within me. I find myself to be more engaged with the design of the structures, rather than the art that is contained within. Through formal explorations, I attempt to understand man’s ability to transform material properties into an artificial world.
